Seatfrog works by allowing standard class ticket holders to enter an auction and bid for first-class upgrades. On some journeys, you can upgrade instantly at a fixed price.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Download the Seatfrog app and set up an account. It’s quick and easy to do
2. Add your standard class trips and check for first-class upgrades
3. Tap ‘Place a bid’ and enter the amount you’d like to bid in an auction (or choose the ‘instant upgrade’ for a fixed price, if it’s available)
4. If you win the auction, you’ll upgrade to first class!

The chance of winning an auction depends on the demand for upgrades on your journey and the number of upgrades available to Seatfrog.
